Hardware Selection and Installation for Business Openings

Door material, thickness, prep, handing, traffic level and required function affect which lock can be installed. A storefront lever, stockroom function and restricted office door should not be treated as the same opening.
Depending on the opening, work may involve cylindrical levers, deadbolts, mortise hardware, rim cylinders or related mechanical components. Existing key systems and landlord requirements should be identified before hardware is ordered.
Exit doors and fire-rated assemblies can be subject to code, listing and inspection requirements. Panic hardware should be evaluated separately. Electronic access control, automatic doors and alarm integration may require other licensed trades or the original system provider.
See panic bar service for more about exit hardware.
Send clear photos of the door edge, latch, lock and any labels when possible. Call 346-777-8777 to confirm service coverage and ask what parts and labor are included.
